A local psychic who is popular among celebrities said that she gained her gift after experiencing a near-death experience when she was 21.

Ms Samantha O’Brien has worked as a psychic and healer for over 20 years, and has done readings for Kylie Minogue, Tess Daly, and Vernon Kay.

It is also possible that a Netflix show may be made about Ms O’Brien’s work. “I did a reading for a lady who makes TV series, and she was blown away,” she said. “She now wants to do a show about me.”

When Ms O’Brien was 21, she endured a traumatic kidney operation where her heart stopped beating for three minutes.

After this near-death experience, Ms O’Brien said that she started predicting things that would later occur.

“I predicted Concord crashing,” she said. “I also predicted Princess Diana dying.”

She later had an MRI scan which found several lesions on her brain that could not be explained by doctors.

Ms O’Brien said that since “passing away” briefly, she now has the ability to see ill health to the naked eye.

“I can place my hands on people and can feel what is wrong with them through energy blocks.”

Other than helping people with their physical difficulties, Ms O’Brien also practices psychic readings.

“I see present, past, and future,” she said. “I describe it as seeing polaroid snapshots of someone’s life in my head.

“I often also feel spirits around me from someone’s past ancestors. I can also see people's names, situations, loads of stuff really.”

Ms O’Brien has worked with thousands of clients over the years and now has over one hundred thousand Instagram followers.

She has also worked with multiple celebrities and has read for Kylie Minogue four times in her house in London.

Tess Daly visited Ms O’Brien in her house in Reading, and she was later invited to Strictly Come Dancing.

Ms O’Brien was very busy during covid, and even now still conducts many readings over Facetime with clients in Dubai and America.

When asked if she has ever had to break any uncomfortable news to a client, she said “there have been a few things that have been hard.”

Ms O’Brien described a time when she warned a woman that her husband would shortly die in a car accident, and he was killed the next day.
